Over the past couple of months, I’ve started dipping my toes into the perilous waters of social commentary. I wrote this piece about how feminism has gotten out of control and this one about how modern dating is depriving boys of the opportunity to become men.

I’ve been doing this to learn more about the roles of men and women in society and how we operate.

This is a personal endeavor as much as an intellectual one. I’ve decided there’s more to life than blindly climbing the corporate ladder or becoming another Instragrammable #girlboss. I have to now go through the arduous process of dismantling the toxic feminist ideology that has been taking up space rent-free in my mind for most of my adult life.

I am a successful writer and entrepreneur, but that isn’t the entirety of my existence. I want to create a family of my own and there shouldn’t be any shame in that. Yet women continue to shame other women for pursuing motherhood, all while blaming the patriarchy.

I raise this point because, through the feedback I’ve received from the essays I’ve written so far and conversations I’ve had with men, I’ve discovered something that I didn’t know was a problem. Unbeknownst to me…
