I Did A Plant Based Version of the Slow Carb Diet — I Wasn’t Expecting This Result

I’ve been a fan of Tim Ferriss ever since I picked up a copy of his seminal work The 4-Hour Work Week. If you haven’t read it, the book is a blueprint for how to put systems in place so you can work less and live more.

One of my biggest takeaways from his philosophy on work productivity and optimization is that, with careful planning, we can all design the type of life we want to live. The secret is coming to the realization that you have choices over how you live your life and it’s up to you to put the right habits in place to be able to live it.

His view on life doesn’t just apply to work. It also applies to personal health and wellness.

Diet and exercise are the most common antidotes to weight loss and achieving fitness goals. More often than not, though, the advice most people are given is usually misguided. Whether it’s losing weight or gaining muscle mass, many diet and exercise protocols put too much emphasis on the end result rather than establishing new habits that are more sustainable in the long run.
