Two different camps are beginning to emerge when it comes to artificial intelligence: those who are hyped about it and those who are terrified at what it might become.

The hype camp is all in. They see AI as a profit powerhouse. Overnight, a crop of passive income side hustlers have become bona fide AI experts. They’re willing to share their newfound expertise with you — for a small fee, of course.

The other camp consists of real experts. The people who are the actual brains behind AI. They understand the implications of where this technology is heading and have begun sounding the alarm about the threat it poses to humanity.

Most everyone generally agrees that this is a watershed moment for human civilization. Despite the economic promise of the efficiencies AI can create, there are serious questions we need to ask ourselves about it.

What role do we want AI to play in our lives?

Is it possible to create ethical AI as many leaders are advocating?

How do you create an “ethical” technology when massive profits loom large overhead?

And if we fail to put the proper guardrails in place, could AI wipe out humanity altogether?
